Peter Rudge, Global Head of Octagon Music, has managed the careers of top musicians for forty years. His current roster of artists includes Il Divo, Anastacia, James, Escala and Starsailor’s James Walsh. As well as managing artists, he has built marketing and promotion platforms for some of the biggest albums of all time and literally helped “create” the modern rock tour.
After graduating from Cambridge University, Peter worked for Track, whose roster included Jimi Hendrix, Marc Bolan and The Who. The Rolling Stones soon hired Peter to manage and book their 1972 US tour. For most of the 70’s and early 80’s, he managed both The Who and The Stones.
During these years Peter also worked with Pink Floyd, Duran Duran and Madness. When not managing his clients’ careers, he found time to produce Andy Warhol’s US cable TV show and oversee all the live shows for America’s Got Talent. He has over 150 Platinum and Gold albums to his name and won the prestigious “Innovator of the Year Award” from Performance Magazine two years running, making him the only person to do so.
