Mike Sullivan has served as Octagon’s Managing Director of Football since December 2000, when his previous company, Sullivan & Sperbeck merged with Octagon.  His experiences as a lawyer and extensive knowledge of the industry have led him to focus heavily on client contract negotiation.

Mike, a high school All-American quarterback in Walnut Creek, CA, attended the University of Oregon on a football scholarship.  He transferred to Villanova for his junior year, where he completed an undergraduate degree in Accounting, followed by a J.D. from Villanova Law School.

Mike’s professional career began with four years working as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and later as a member of Bank of America’s executive financial consulting business.  In 1981, he made the transition to athlete representation by joining Leigh Steinberg's law practice, which later became Steinberg and Sullivan.  In 1985, he returned to private practice but continued to represent primarily football players.  Nine years later, the company, then called Sullivan & Sperbeck, merged with Octagon.
