Jeff Austin heads Octagon’s worldwide Basketball division, where his experiences as a former professional sportsman and expertise as a lawyer have proved invaluable in client recruitment and contract negotiations.  He works closely with NBA legends, including David Robinson and Moses Malone, along with current NBA stars and rising legends such as 2008 NBA MVP Runner-Up Chris Paul, among others.

A four-time All-American tennis player at UCLA, Austin graduated with a B.A. in Economics in 1973.  For the next four years, he pursued a career in professional tennis, achieving a Top 60 world ranking before retiring from the game.  Following his professional tennis career, he enrolled in the UCLA School of Law, graduating in 1980.  Austin then worked for a Beverly Hills law firm from 1980-82, before making the switch to sports representation in 1983 as a founding member of Advantage International, Octagon’s predecessor company.
