Qondisa worked in sport at the highest level for more than ten years before joining Octagon.  He was Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO at the SA Sports Commission and has worked closely with football authorities in South Africa, as well as within the African continent. As Managing Director of Octagon South Africa, and one of the most knowledgeable and insightful people involved in football, Qondisa is responsible for growing Octagon football locally and internationally.

His perspective on the significance of the coming 2010 FIFA World Cup and its potential legacy in South Africa is shaped by the work he and his staff are doing for several corporations including: MTN, Sony, Kia and Cola-Cola.

Qondisa was primarily involved in driving the FIFA/MTN negotiations for MTN’s sponsorship of the World Cup. He has a great deal of experience within TV rights sales and broadcast sponsorship, and regularly consults with the South African Broadcasting Corporation and the African Union of Broadcasters.
