Chris Higgs, Managing Director of Octagon’s Golf and Outdoor events division, has over 20 years of experience in the golf industry. He has successfully utilized his expertise to expand the agency’s golf practice and enhance Octagon’s golf offerings in event and property management, sponsorship activation and athlete representation, among other areas. Higgs also spearheads the agency’s golf operations on an international level.
Higgs, who began his marketing career as an IBM Marketing Executive in Kingston, Jamaica, joined Octagon in May 2009 after spending seven years as the Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of the LPGA Tour. From 1990-2001, as President and Chief Operating Officer for Executive Sports International, Higgs managed the sports marketing enterprise of Jack Nicklaus and Golden Bear International, and also spent time as a the company’s Tournament Director.
During his 24 years in the golf and sports industry, he has consulted on events and sponsorships on six continents and has managed or directed over 120 LPGA, PGA and Champions Tour events.
